Wesley College Double Blue Ball UK

Wesley College OBU UK celebrated the nineteenthannual Dinner Dance, at the City Grange Hotel,London, on the 8th Oct 2011. The socialSecretary, in his opening address, stated that Wesley College Colombo was 137 years old and had produced great statesmen, public servants,professionals and sportsmen.We were honoured to have his Excellency Mr. P Amza and his wife aschief guests at the Dinner Dance. Mr. Amza stressed the importance of Wesley College's heritage as one of the oldest education institutions in Sri Lanka. Mr. Sanjika Perera,Director Sri Lanka Tourism in UK ,also graced the occasion.

The evening was highlighted by three specialawards to three distinguished old boys of Wesley College Colombo.Mr. Nalin Perera Sri Lanka Tourism Tourism UK,Mr. Paul David Safety Engineer Total Paris, Mr. Rex Devadasan Civil Servant.All these gentlemen have achieved and contributed greatly to the Alma Mater.The president, Mr. Thasanga Jayasinghe,thanked all the VIP's and guests for theirsupport in attending the Dinner Dance.He especially thanked his Executive Committee, Mr. Lahir Iomail (Hony Secretary), Mr. Nalin Perera ( Hony Treasurer), Dr. Ana Thevathasan (Social Secretary), Mr. Roshan Perera (Sports Secretary), Mr. Azahiam Mohamed (Membership Secretary), Mr. Rex Devadasan (Vice-President),Mr. Paul David (Editor) and
Mr. Arooran for the Souvenir. The Dance ended with the singing of the College song and the National Anthems of Sri Lanka
and England
